One Pot Japanese Chicken Curry Rice

Introduction

Try this easy One Pot Japanese Chicken Curry Rice tonight! It’s so convenient that you can just throw everything in one pot and finish cooking this within an hour. While it slow cooks in the pot for 20 minutes, you can totally watch some TV while the curry simmers. Frying an egg next to it is totally optional, it just looks aesthetically pleasing 🙂 Also, you can decide to buy mild, medium, or spicy Japanese curry, I prefer my curry with a little kick to it. GIVE THIS A TRY!

Ingredients & Price:

  • 1.5 pound of skinless & boneless chicken thigh meat – $4.50 (marinated with 1.5 tsp of salt, sugar, corn starch, black pepper & white pepper, 1 tbsp of soy sauce)
  • 1 onion – $0.25
  • 2 carrots – $1.00
  • 2-3 potatoes – $1.00
  • 2 cubes of Spicy Japanese Curry – $0.50
  • Note: always feel free to adjust the seasoning based on your own preference!
